OWNING A WORKSPORT TRAILER IS
AS EASY AS 1-2-3!
1. PURCHASING YOUR TRAILER
First, select the right model for your trailering needs. Match your vehicle’s towing capacity to the trailer’s GVWR. Your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual should outline towing capabilities. Also, make sure the trailer model you choose has enough cargo capacity for all your trailering needs. If the store’s sales representative cannot answer specific trailering questions, call our Customer Service Hotline at 1-888-869-7223 for assistance.
2. PICKING UP YOUR TRAILER
Have a hitch and wiring installed by a professional trailer hitch service company (see your local Yellow Pages). You will need a 2" ball coupler and 4-way trailer plug for wiring. See the WorkSport Owner’s Manual for those and other details. A trailer license plate may be required in your State and is easy to obtain at your local license branch. Call your insurance company for additional trailer coverage information.
3. SAFE TOWING TIPS
Follow these tips for best results:
- Trailer swaying usually means inadequate hitch weight. See the Owner’s Manual for proper loading diagram.
- When towing, always allow one car and trailer length between yourself and vehicle ahead for every 10 MPH.
- It is unlawful to carry passengers inside the trailer.
- Your trailer is equipped with quality tubeless tires.
- The recommended air pressure is found on the tire sidewall.
- Keep lugnuts torqued to 90- 120 ft/lbs. Check lugnuts after first 10 and 25 miles and then again at 50 miles. Check tire pressure periodically thereafter.
The WorkSport Owner’s Manual (Download PDF) , included with each trailer, contains many safety tips and trailer specifications including maintenance information. Please read it thoroughly. Happy towing!
