Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What kind of vehicle will I need to tow a WorkSport trailer?
A. Generally, any Pickup Truck, Van, Sport Utility or Full-Sized Car can safely tow a WorkSport trailer. Even some Mid-Sized Cars can tow the smaller WorkSport trailers. We do, however, strongly recommend that you consult your vehicle owners manual to determine the towing capacity of your vehicle.
Q. What kind of hitch and wiring are required?
A. We recommend a class 2 trailer hitch. To determine the proper hitch and wiring for your vehicle, please contact a hitch installation professional in your area. They can be found in your phone book yellow pages and can provide proper hitch installation and wiring. A detailed wiring diagram can be found in your WorkSport owners manual.
Q. Is a WorkSport trailer hard to tow?
A. No. Towing is safe and easy, provided you follow a few simple towing rules, have a proper hitch and wiring and do not overload your trailer. Please read the towing safety suggestions in the back of the WorkSport owners manual before towing your WorkSport trailer.
Q. How do I license my new WorkSport trailer?
A. The laws vary from state to state, so please contact your state’s Motor Vehicle Bureau for details. Generally, you need to take your completed WorkSport Certificate of Origin (which you will receive from your retailer) and your sales receipt to the Motor Vehicle Bureau to title and register your WorkSport trailer. It is important that you take your sales receipt with you to provide documentation on sales tax paid at the time of your trailer purchase.
Q. How will I obtain warranty repairs or purchase parts for my WorkSport trailer?
A. Just call our WorkSport Customer Service Hotline at 1-888-869-7223. We will explain your repair options and provide you with the name of an authorized Service Center in your area. We can also connect you to our Parts Department for purchasing replacement parts. Visit the Replacement Parts page to download a list of available items.
Q. What maintenance is required for my WorkSport trailer?
A. All WorkSport trailers require very low maintenance. The owners manual describes in detail what is required. A properly maintained WorkSport trailer will outlast several tow vehicles and have a higher resale value!
Note: Specifications are subject to change. WorkSport trailers are sold exclusively at select Home
Depot locations. All models may not be available at all locations.
